How I work: My Consulting Approach
My main goal as a consultant is to help my clients make substantial improvements in their business performance. My work is always strongly result-oriented and my clients’ interests always come first. I encourage critical thinking and open discussions with my clients, in order to reflect on their challenges and help them find the best solutions.
My consulting approach is not to offer companies ready-made solutions, but to lead and support their management team in developing tailor-made concepts for their particular business. Being effective with this approach requires drilling concepts further down to the “nitty-gritty” level of individual measures, actions and implementation plans.
What clients need most when approaching an issue is a consultant who brings a systematic and structured, but also a “fresh” way of thinking to their situation.
I enjoy bringing my “external” view and experience to the table while intensively engaging in a dialogue with my client’s management team. This approach never fails to trigger new ideas, inspire “out of the box” solutions and ultimately improve the business performance of my clients.

My main clients are companies in retailing, trading and sourcing businesses.
I have worked for different retail formats in food as well as non-food business, from Do-it-yourself stores, Cash & Carry, Furniture stores, Department Stores to Garden Center and Zoo retailers.
Client organizations I work for range from large multinational retail chains and their regional sourcing offices, over wholesalers and traders, to small local retailers. They include traditional bricks-and-mortar stores, online shops as well as multi-channel businesses.
I typically work directly with CEOs, Managing Directors, Managing Partners, and their first and second level management teams, such as Purchasing managers, Category managers, Sales managers etc. However, I am also used to leading client teams down to the operational level, especially in implementation projects.
Being self-employed does not always mean working alone. Depending on client’s preferences, on some projects I work with partners – with stand-alone consultants from different areas of expertise, or with top-tier consulting companies as a part of a larger project team.
